WHEN WE PROMISED, 'FOREVER'.

9 out of 10 relationships which involves young people always have promises of "forever"!, we could say it comes with the age, we get to hear words like; "we would get married; we would have cute babies; we would never grow tired of each other; we would grow old together, and the list goes on and on, until reality hits us on our back side. Looking back at our lives then, we can't but shake our heads now, and marvel at our line of thoughts, how naïve we had been, how innocent!. Truly, we had hoped that life would be that way, like in fairy tales, where we live in Castle, and we are the 'princess', we meet our Mr. charming, we both fall in love, and we live happily ever after. However, in the real world, instead of 'happily ever after', we get disillusioned by love. The whole sweet feeling we felt at first, evaporates, leaving us with this 'icebox' where our heart used to be! In "Omarion's voice".. Apart from being betrayed, t...

THE NEW BLACK WOMEN!

When we talk about "Women Empowerment", we do not mean we plan to carry out a coup on the male folk! We merely envision a society where everyone is giving equal consideration regardless of sex. We talk about a society where the female folks stand tall and live up to their potentials, refusing to keep silent when harassed or oppressed merely because they are the 'weaker sex'. We mean that women should step out of the box the society has enclosed them in, and build a world for themselves! This is all about self-realisation,and self fulfilment. Its, really not about the male folks in the way some persons think. LET'S START FROM THE VERY BEGINING The African society from the early times has projected the female folks as being less important. They were not regarded as people who should be involved in serious decision making. When decisions where made in the village square, the men go, and the women naturally stay back at home to take care of the children and...

ANYTHING BUT YOU!

In a world that expect you to be anything but you, What do you do? You live your life to the fullest! This earth is made for the extraordinary, the abnormal, the psychic, never for the normal, the usual, those who play by the books. No! This world is meant for the defilers of laws, the dreamers, the possibility thinkers, the rebels, the renegade, those who swim toward the opposite direction of the raging tide. Very few people appreciate, 'special' ,not every one accommodates 'new', they scorn at 'different', because it scares them, makes them uncomfortable, challenges them. This is the reason why the brilliant extraordinaire is scoffed at in class, this same reason makes an innovative co employee a laughing stock in the place of work. However to be able to recognise your uniqueness, to nurture it, to fan the fire in you into flame, produces the ultimate result, which people from far and wide will celebrate! Bruno Mars made this point clear when he sang one of...

FEELING LESS!

Have you ever felt extremely unacceptable? Out of place? Inappropriate? Not just doing it right? Not good enough? Because someone said so? Because of what a group of people said? because of what a family member said? or a family friend? Or maybe you just have this feeling in your head that you are not liked very much? That people prefer your friends to you? Or your siblings better? Or you just know that your parents prefer your less. You feel unpopular? Hear this; 1. NO ONE CAN MAKE YOU FEEL INFRIOR WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT. This is one of the most wisest saying ever made.It is only you that can grant people the permission to make you feel less of yourself, even the bible tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in the sight of our creator, and we were made in God's image and likeness, so why doing him a discredit by doubting the perfection of his creatures, that is you! 2. NO ONE IS PERFECT. I recently stumbled on a passage of the Scripture.Ecclesiates 7vs20, its ...

HAPPINESS.

.. Only few young persons learn from a failed relationship. A lot of youths consistently day dream that their relationship will be forever, they always see the end of these relationships, looking past any reality that may point towards another direction. The so called love blinding them to what is.  Some one told me recently that  sometimes what we have to do is to step out of these relationships for a second and analyse it objectively, then we might find those loopholes we refuse to acknowledge, those things that if we have been too careful to observe would prompt us to take a step backward. Ultimately, getting married and living happily everafter is the aim of some relationships, however most relationships are not always meant to last forever,to think it is, is to delude oneself. we are to learn from those relationships, get better through them, so that we can be ready for a more advanced one. As Katy Perry sang; then we would be "wide awake"! So never hold too tight...
