Hello to ALL the Women making themselves relevant and honourably eking out a living.
Its a Cute sight to see women who have broken away from the box that society had constructed for all women, especially in Africa.
SOCIETY BE LIKE ..
Stop talking too much, don't you know you are a woman? You should not laugh so loud, don't you know your are a woman, don't look so mean, don't frown, don't get angry so much, don't argue too much, don't complain, don't sit down there, you should know your are a woman!
That's a whole lot of unreasonable LIMIT and "DON'Ts" for one person DON'T!!!!!!!!! we think? !!!!
Isn't it best to allow a person express her feelings to a large extent making such person a 'natural', than to be restricted so unreasonably such that that person will be fashioned into a robot like individual.Telling a woman how to and how not to express herself takes away the originality and spontaneity in her, leaving an uninteresting and a cold individual. Allow her to express herself, to understand and absorb her surroundings, to discover her Passion to explore her feelings and to aim high to greater heights unimaginable.
Some mothers are guilty of laying emphasis on limits they feel their girl children should have, telling these girs how they should "limit" themselves in doing normal natural things that a human being can do."DON'T DO THIS COS YOU ARE A WOMAN!" You find some mothers whose children who are probably trying to show their curiosity and willingness to learn, and these mother resorting to scolding such children to quit talking! just because they are "girls" instead of explaining what these children should understand per time. Don't be that kind of mother.
Be a woman who is free to express her feelings, laugh out loud when you have the urge to, voice out your opinion clearly and wisely even subtly when the need arises, do not be cowed down. You are carving a path for other women behind you.
Refuse to let people tell you what to do only because you are a woman. Refuse to be "shown your limit", only because you are a woman, ignore those people who tell you to talk "only a little", only because you are a woman, ignore those people who tell you not to voice your opinion cos you are a woman.
We will talk as much as a human being do, we would say what we want as much as a reasonable person can. This is our world too. God has made us complete, we have brains too.we have feelings too.we have minds too, we have hearts.
We have "dreams" too, we have passion,we have goals and we intend to achieve them Too. We also need true fulfilment.
...
So that when we are all old and grey we would look back to all we have done, all the fun we have had, all our achievements and be thankful that we did not allow ourselves to be limited only because we are WOMB-MEN!!!

However having our spouse occupying notable positions in Government is great news, but this could come with lots of responsibilities. This is an INTERVIEW with Mrs Miriam Obusom, the wife of Mr Chuks Obusom the Chairman of Oshimili South Local Government Council in Delta State. Nigeria. Here she talks about her spouse, their journey so far in Public Service, their start together, family, love, children, and life! An inspiring read!!! YOU WILL LOVE IT! ENJOY! CAN WE MEET YOU MA'AM?
